Sunday 3rd February - Finally, it's almost here!
Yes, at long last, the end is in sight in the creation of Kingtide's debut long-player. Thanks to a few gentle prods from the likes of Owen from Vehicle and Anthony Gliddon, not to mention Wiggi moaning "Let's just release it all as it is now, it sounds great", Ben began work on final mixes.
And then the mixing work became adding, replacing and mixing. more
Sunday 25th February - Ben's been busy
So then, what's been going on in Kingtideland? Well, quite a lot, actually. Work is still happening on the album, oh yes, and there's probably going to be an EP as well with more songs on it. more
Thursday 11th January - Album update
Ben Kingtide has confirmed that their new album is still coming along nicely and there are now 12 songs almost finished. more
Tuesday 21st November - New song on MySpace
Work is continuing apace on the new Kingtide album with momentum gathering as the project nears completion. The chaps are working on about 15 songs, and the first one to be mixed is now available for preview on the Kingtide MySpace page. more
Sunday 24th September - Kingtide back in studio
Kingtide are once again in the recording studio recording material for their currently untitled new album. So far all of the drums are done, along with quite a lot of bass, guitar and vocals. Particularly exciting is Ben's massive guitar sound: one guitar plugged into four all valve amps at once. more

It's a little-known fact, but Wiggi is actually legally able to marry people (in some state in America at least). more

Thursday 4th May - Kingtide on the BBC!
Kingtide bassist Lewis Smith was on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire radio tonight with Jen, Jim and Jayne to promote the gigging for it show tomorrow night at the Jug. As well as getting in some good plugs for the show, we also got October played on the radio! Special thanks to Anita Miah at BBC Coventry and Warwickshire for having us, and plugging the gig so heavily. more

Sunday 29th January - New record update

Thursday 20th October - JP Day show a success!
Thanks to everyone who came to the John Peel Day gig at the Jug and Jester. A great night was had by all, and the best news is that after Mark from the Jug had emptied the big whiskey bottle we raised £230 - currently winging it's way to Amnesty International. more

Sunday 17th July - Drummer Boy Graduates!
Congratulations to Wiggi on his graduation. He got a first in something to do with computers, though rumour has it he was awarded the grade not because of the quality of his work, but because no-one has ever started their final year project so late and still handed it in on time. more

Following the departure of Colin Locke and Paul Ryan, Kingtide have recruited a new drummer in the (skinny, scruffy) shape of Richie J, otherwise known as the boy Wig. more

Thursday 3rd February - Leam 'n' Aid on TV!
Leam 'n' Aid is officially top pop after bubbling it's way onto BBC TV. BBC Midlands, who have previously featured Kingtide as their band of the month, mentioned the Leam 'n' Aid festival on Midlands Today as well as in this article. The appeal was also featured on the front page of the Leamington Observer today (coverage online soon) with a picture of Paul Kingtide, Jen Marketing and Andy Landlord with a nice story about the event which happens this weekend at the Robbins Well in Leamington.
